Yesterday I did a dumb. In the parking lot of the Walmart in Belmont, NC, I found myself staring at a Subaru Sambar Suzuki Every on the back of a 3-car trailer. It was identical to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! except for what appeared to be factory wheels:

Anyway, I was following the Kei van with my eyes while I was moving forward with the Cherokee. As my head turned left, my arm also turned left and I found myself running up over the curb and over several small bushes. Right here:

I ran over the small bushes and holly bush and I nearly hit the tree.

The Cherokee is fine.

I honestly don’t gawk at other women. However, I have made it clear that I do gawk at cars. To the point where I meet my kids’ classmates’ parents and I’m like “Oh, yeah — late 90s 7-series, right?” and they look at me like I’m a stalker.

I won’t say it’s easy, but the sooner you start seeing your wife as the only woman on earth, the happier you’ll be and the more you can focus on important stuff (work, life, family).

My wife told me years ago that she was amused by the fact that I don’t ogle, or really even pay attention to, women on the street, but that I’ll go to great lengths to get a glimpse of a car I like or find interesting.
